Paint, chemicals & motor oil
Take these free to the Disposal of Toxics facility in Bellingham (households).
Asbestos-containing material
Requires a certified abatement contractor before anyone can haul it.
Medical & biohazard waste
Handled through pharmacy take-back and medical waste programs.
Ammunition, explosives & fireworks
Contact the Whatcom County Sheriff's Office for safe disposal.
Wet garbage & food waste
That's your regular curbside service — we handle everything else.
Common Questions
Do you take refrigerators and freezers?
Yes. Federal law requires certified freon recovery before disposal, which is why a fridge costs more to dispose of than a dryer. We pass the transfer station fee through at cost and handle the rest.
Do you take TVs and electronics?
Yes — TVs, monitors, computers, and other e-waste. Where possible we route electronics through E-Cycle Washington drop-off points so they get recycled rather than landfilled.
Do you take propane tanks?
Yes. The transfer station charges a per-tank disposal fee and that is exactly what you pay, with no markup.
What if my item isn't on the list?
