No mystery to it. These are the four things we look at on every job.
How much space it takes
We price by the room your load takes in the trailer, not by the item count. Ten flattened boxes cost less than one sectional.
What it weighs
The transfer station bills by the ton, so concrete, dirt, and tile cost more than the same volume of household junk.
How we reach it
A garage we can back up to is quicker than a third-floor walk-up or a long carry down a narrow side yard. We tell you before we start.
What it is
Fridges, freezers, AC units, and dehumidifiers need certified refrigerant recovery by law. Mattresses carry their own disposal fee in Washington.

Why does a fridge cost more than a dryer?
It's federal law, not a junk-removal upsell. Section 608 of the Clean Air Act requires that refrigerant (freon) be recovered by a certified technician before a fridge, freezer, air conditioner, or dehumidifier can be scrapped — venting it is illegal.
That certified recovery step is exactly why the transfer station charges several times more for a refrigerator than for a dryer. We pass that fee through at the posted rate, itemised on your quote, and now you know where it comes from.

How much does junk removal cost in Bellingham, WA?
It depends on how much space your load takes in the trailer, what it weighs, and how we reach it. Rather than guess, send a photo through the free quote form and we will give you a firm number in writing, usually the same day.
Why don’t you publish a price list?
Because a price list would be wrong for most jobs. Two garages that look identical can differ by hundreds of dollars once you account for weight, access, and what is actually in them. We would rather send you an accurate number than an optimistic one you find out about at the truck.
Do you mark up dump fees?
No. Disposal is billed at the facility’s posted rate and that is exactly what you pay. It is itemised on your quote so you can check the math.
Why does a refrigerator cost more to dispose of than a dryer?

Do you charge extra for stairs or difficult access?
Access affects the price and we tell you before you book, not after. Second-floor pickups, long carries, steep driveways, and tight alley access all take longer. It goes in the written quote either way.
Is the quote binding?
Yes. Once we send you a number in writing and you approve it, that is what you pay. If we get there and the job is genuinely bigger than what you showed us, we stop and re-quote before doing the extra work.
